This review is limited by us having only tried two dishes .... But one of them (fish in black bean sauce) was KILLER. Probably the best I have ever had, and I've had that dish all over the U.S. It was fresh, the sauce was light, none of that crazy-greasy-Americanized-deep-fried quality that is everyyywhere these days. The second dish was Sizzling Rice Soup made with seafood instead of the traditional chicken beef pork shrimp. I didn't love it - the shrimp were good but the imitation crab and calamari were not very tasty and the broth was missing that full flavor Profile that comes with varied meats. I wish they offered a traditional and a seafood. The fish fillet was so good I'm going back asap to try more dishes. I will update once I do!

This is a 4-star review so it floats up and people can see it. Our only experience last night was NOT a 4-star experience. It seems Chinese restaurants routinely overcharge for take-out, at least the one near us that we love does. Every time. EVERY TIME. Last night my wife and I decided to avoid the hassle and try something new. We found Rose Garden on Yelp, it looked good, and we ordered and were thrilled with the (S) option on several dished. We ordered foil wrapped chicken ($8.25), Broccoli w/Black Mushrooms ($13.25), and a (S) Shredded Pork w/Green Scallion & Onion ($7.50). That totals $29, and with sales tax, $31.25. I got these prices off their online menu. When my wife picked up the food, the person said the total was $39.27. My wife said that was too much, and was told prices had gone up., we were using old prices, and gave her a take-out menu with prices. When we opened the container, there was a box of rice we did not order. When we tasted the food, it was bland and flavorless. We threw more than half of it away. Then I check the prices online and they were the same. So, we were overcharged $8.02 OR charged $8.02 (tax included) for a box of rice we didn't order (large steamed rice - $5 on the menu) for food we ended up throwing most of away. The next morning when I went to find out what happened, the manager, a woman, regularly interrupted me as I was trying to explain the whole story to her before asking for some kind of correction. It was aggravating. Then she would not stop repeating that the rice was always free, so we did not get charged for it, and that the ticket the phone order was written on did not say (s) for the shredded pork it. Bottom line, her explanation was plausible, except I heard my wife order and say small. The argument escalated until we both had raised voices, and the woman was telling me I was being rude and yelling, when in my opinion, I was reacting to her. It was not pretty, and no, they do not have video monitors, so we were unable to go back and see exactly what happened. She did eventually give me back $8.02 claiming what happened was we were charged for the large met dish and that's because we didn't specify small. Unless you want to be overcharged for flavorless food, I respectfully suggest you find another dining option.
